Our Story

In October of 1986, Angelina Velez boldly stepped out on a venture that would become her legacy. She started with a ten-table restaurant in Eastvale, Texas. As the Tex Mex recipes gained a reputation of being some of the best in town, the need to expand became necessary. She and her family worked tirelessly to keep up with the demand. In roughly a decade, Angelina’s Restaurant would have outgrown two locations in The Colony before landing a permanent home overlooking Lake Lewisville on Main Street, adding a second location in Flower Mound, now named Cristina’s after one of Angelina’s granddaughter’s and opening a third location in Lewisville. Angelina’s in Lewisville was later passed on to her eldest son, Louis Jr.
